
The Catholic University of America’s School of Library and Information Science has been the source of many great individual volunteers and supporters of the Lubuto Project, and its student chapter of the Special Libraries Association conducted a very successful book drive for Lubuto Libraries in the fall of 2008.
Drexel University,
Philadelphia, PA Drexel University’s i-School and its student Special Libraries Association
chapter have raised funds and focused professional support on
development of both Lubuto Libraries and the Lubuto organization.
Sidwell Friends School's AIDS Club has kicked off its
involvement with the Lubuto Project with a very successful book drive in Fall 2008 and we are exploring possibilities of a "Lubuto Minimester" with Sidwell's Middle School.
University
of Alabama School of Library and Information Studies
gave a very generous donation to Lubuto and is continuing to engage
library professionals associated with the University in the founding of
Lubuto Alabama, a group that is building collections for Lubuto Libraries.
Faculty and students at Alabama’s library school are also providing technical
support to development of Lubuto’s information and communication systems.
University
of Pittsburgh University Library System generously donated to the
Lubuto Project and provided two speaking forums to help spread the word about our work.
University of
South Carolina’s Library and Information Science Student
Association, and its undergraduate Lubuto Club, have been committed and
very generous supporters of Lubuto’s efforts, through fundraising, awareness-raising,
and direct technical support to our operations.
