Bill Fisher is Professor Emeritus with the School of Information at San Jose State University. He has served on a variety of advisory boards, councils and committees at local, state, national and international levels providing guidance on all aspects of librarianship. He served as President of the Special Libraries Association in 2002-2003. A Lubuto supporter from the beginning, Bill currently supervises students in SJSU’s Gateway Ph.D. program. He taught at UCLA before joining the faculty at San Jose State in 1988. He holds degrees from the University of Arkansas, SUNY Geneseo and the University of Southern California.
