Masana wa Afrika

Our work would not be possible without multi-year general support grants from Masana wa Afrika. With teams based in South Africa and Uganda, they are “an Africa-based foundation that provides grants and capacity-strengthening support to community-based organisations serving children in Africa.” Lubuto’s enduring partnership with Masana wa Afrika began in 2020. Their commitment to flexible support and long-term investments sustains us, along with many organizations in Africa.

On their website, Masana wa Afrika provides the following description of us as a grantee: “Lubuto Library Partners runs libraries to promote literacy, education, and skills development and provides safe spaces for children and adolescents living in under resourced communities of Lusaka and Southern provinces. They also lead interventions focused on keeping girls in school and preventing early marriage.”
